Santa & Tears & Indifference

We took the kids to the Suffolk Visitor Center today to meet and have a photo-op with good ole Saint Nick.  Drum roll...

This was the best one I could get of Troy with Santa.  He wouldn't put his hands down and was very indifferent to the whole experience.  He did at least tell him that he wanted a monster truck and chocolate for Christmas.

Genevieve didn't want anything to do with him.  She didn't like when he even looked at her.  The only thing she said to him was "Bye".

All in all, Eric and I thought the whole fiasco was pretty comical and the kids were happy they each got a cookie.  Best part was that there was no line and no charge.  Better luck next time!

Throwback Thursday

Little Genevieve broke her leg a few weeks ago while we were on vacation out in California.  She has to wear a cast for a month for it to heal and she is over half way through with having to wear it.  It is amazing how resilient and adaptable she is to her cast.  It reminds me of when Troy was the same age and he broke his arm.  (Apparently our kids like to break bones around the age of one and a half...don't call child services, I swear we are great parents:)

Gobble, Gobble

My family endured the long road trip from Georgia to Virginia this past week to spend Thanksgiving with us.  We were over the moon to have such special guests and we had a wonderful time.  The turkey dinner had all the family favorites and  competitive games of Taboo was the entertainment.  Boys need to up their game;)  Instead of partaking in the madness of Black Friday, we drove up to Colonial Williamsburg for the day.  This was definitely the highlight of the trip and we will have to go back when it is not freezing out.
