Let It Snow

In the past 2 weeks, we have had 3 snowfalls in Suffolk. The kids have enjoyed the snow a lot this time around which makes for awesome snowball fights and snowman making. 

Drive Down the Outer Banks

Another warmish winter day means another trip to the beach. We decided to load up the car and cruise down the Outer Banks of NC and stop whenever something caught our eye. We drove from Kitty Hawk all the way to the tip of Hatteras Island with stops to a couple lighthouses and beaches. We left home shortly after sunrise and got home shortly after sunset.  It was a long and beautiful day.

Upper Peninsula

This weekend we went for a drive up the upper peninsula to check out some of the small coastal towns on the Chesapeake Bay.  We checked out the town of Gloucester Courthouse and Gwyn's Island.  Eventually, we drove up to Little Oyster Bay and found a black sand beach to play on.
