A Sail and A Swim

We took the boat to Elizabeth City this past weekend for a quick day sail that turned into an all day one. We were told by another boater where a sand bar was located so that we could hop off the boat for a swim. The water is river water with a weird brownish tint. It looked like we were swimming in tea. The kids were quick to want to jump off the side of the boat. Troy was even doing front flips and dives. Genevieve had a huge smile the entire time and wanted to jump in again and again. After the swim, we sailed some more with a fair amount of wind to keep us moving and then we headed back to the ramp to get the boat back up on the trailer. We finished the night off with a water front dinner at a local restaurant and a 45 minute drive home with sleeping babies.

Lately

A Cookout opened up down the street from us so we promptly went on opening day to get lunch and one of their yummy milkshakes. Strawberry was the pick for us out of 40 or so flavors.

Waiting to see her first movie on the big screen, lnside Out. She promptly fell asleep on me within the first 15 min of the movie and slept all the way through:)

This guy on the other hand helped me with a "medium" cherry coke. He couldn't sit still. The movie was great though. I teared up a couple times.

We said good-bye to baby curls. A bittersweet moment realizing that she is growing up way too fast.

On a side note, I think I did a pretty good job for my first haircut.

Father's Day 2015

We spent Father's Day this year at our favorite spot...Sandbridge. The kids are becoming quite the little boogie boarders.
