This past Saturday, we put the bikes in the back of the truck and headed to the Eastern Shore Wildlife Refuge. It was about an hour from our house and we got to cross the big Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to get there. We took a short bike ride on the bike path and ate a small picnic lunch. Afterwards, we checked out the wildlife center that had a sand table full of bones and artifacts found in the refuge that you could dig out and identify. You kids (and mom & dad) really enjoyed it. We also took a nice walk around the refuge and took in the sights. The day was completed with a sunset dinner in Virginia Beach at Dockside Restaurant and Fish Market on the Lynnhaven Inlet.
My hope is that someday both of you will look back through this family album and see the love that was shared day to day through all our adventures, big and small. Love you always, Mom

After Nap Bike Rides
One thing your mama wants to never forget is our after nap bike rides. If it is above 50 degrees and sunny, you would find us catching a breeze on our bikes riding around our neighborhood. Our neighborhood lends itself well for bike riding and as soon we moved into this house I knew bikes would be in our near future.
And for fun here is a video of when Troy learned how to ride without training wheels. The Spiderman costume was key to him having the courage to try.

Unexpected Snow
We woke up this morning to snow! Your daddy and I must not have paid attention to the weather report because we had no idea we would wake up to another winter wonderland. Y'all raced outside to play since rain would be coming to wash it away later in the day.
Winter Time Fun
We have been trying to stay busy these last couple weeks despite it being freezing outside. Y'all don't seem to mind the cold though.

So it has been awhile
Last time I stopped by to update was all the way back in November and here I am in February wondering where the time has gone. I can complain and give excuses about being "busy" but honestly I haven't had the desire to sit and update this blog. I know...bad mama! But don't take this absence the wrong way. We have had lots of fun with friends and family. And enjoyed the holidays to the fullest. So here I am today trying to play catch up. This post may be a little long but I am going to make sure I update more often so that my posts don't ramble on through months of pics and stories at a time. So babies, here it goes:
